MISES Journal (p-ISSN: 2318-0811 | e-ISSN: 2594-9187) is the academic periodical of the Instituto Mises Brasil. It is an interdisciplinary publication whose mission is to disseminate the intellectual contributions of professors and researchers dedicated to the study of the Austrian School and its applications in various areas of the social sciences, including, but not limited to: economics, law, philosophy, business administration, entrepreneurship, history, and sociology.
The journal is published in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The online version offers free and open access to its content through the official website. All articles are published with their respective digital object identifiers (DOIs).
The focus of the Mises Journal is to offer professors, students, and researchers dedicated to the study of the Austrian School high-quality content that complements their professional development and continuing education.
Only original works in Portuguese, English, or Spanish that have not been previously published nor are under review by another journal are accepted for evaluation. Preprints are accepted. There are no submission or publication fees.
Original research articles, essays, and book reviews are accepted. Submissions that do not comply with the editorial guidelines will not be considered for review and will be returned to the authors so they may resubmit them after the necessary revisions.
After approval by the Editor-in-Chief, the article is forwarded to an Associate Editor, who directs it to two specialists for evaluation through a double-blind peer-review process. This method ensures the anonymity of both authors and reviewers. If the reviews are conflicting, a third reviewer is called upon to arbitrate the decision.
Since January 2020, the journal has adopted the continuous publication model. In this modality, articles are published in the online version within a single annual volume with a single table of contents.
Quarentine: For a new manuscript to be published in the Mises Journal, authors must wait for a period of up to six (6) months after their previous publication in the journal. Starting in 2026, this guideline applies to consecutive publications by the same author or group of authors, including co-authored works and even those already approved in the peer-review process.
